About the book

What would it take for you to forget how to fly?

We have domesticated the Bombyx mori silk moth for thousands of years. Since they have no need for flight to survive, with their mates brought directly to them and no predators to escape, they have lost the use of their wings. This limited edition, riso printed, illustrated book incorporates silk spun by silkworms the book’s creator helped raise. This Feeling of Safety is about the comfort of a safety net, and what we give up in exchange for it.
